             Lego TablesAWE Computers

The Abell-Hanger Children's library at the Andrews County Library provides over 22,000 books, audiobooks, and dvds for children. The space also provides 12 AWE learning computers.  These educational computers are not connected to the internet and are loaded with safe and age-appropriate learning games in multiple languages and age levels.
And thanks to the generous donation from the Friends of the Library, the children's space now has a train, lego, and lightbox table for our patrons.

Book Lists

Bluebonnet List

Texas Bluebonnet Award 2024-2025

Every year Texas librarians create a list of 20 books for children in 3rd through 6th grade throughout Texas.  Kids who read at least 5 of these 20 titles by January get to vote for their favorite.  Votes are tallied and the winner is announced in March or April at the Texas Library Association's annual convention.  This is a unique award as the winner is selected by kids.  Call the library to participate and vote for your favorite Texas Bluebonnet nominee book!

2X2 Reading List

The 2×2 list can be used by parents and caregivers to introduce children to a variety of quality books that will pique their interest and imagination, as well as encourage independent reading.
