The Friends of the Andrews County Library

Friends information

The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organization founded in 1993 and dedicated to making the Andrews County Library one of the finest in the state.  Our objectives are reached through community support.  We support the library through annual membership dues and special projects such as book sales and special events.  With your support, we purchase equipment and materials which are not available otherwise through the library's county budget.  It is important to look to each other to sustain and promote the library the county has provided us.  To become a "Friend" download the form here and bring it to the Andrews County Library front desk.  Your annual membership dues and contributions are tax deductible.  Please join!  Everybody Needs Friends!

Seniors and seniors' parents, congratulations on your upcoming graduation!  I know the students (and parents) have worked hard for this achievement.  The Friends of the Andrews County Library have a scholarship, The Joyce and Bob Zap Scholarship, for Andrews High School seniors, AEC grads and Andrews homeschool seniors.  Two scholarships in the amount of $2500 each will awarded to two Andrews' graduates.  The scholarship can be used for colleges and vocational schools.  Download your application here and return it to the library.  As of March 26, 2020, applications must be turned in to the library no later than 5:00 PM, Thursday, April 30, 2020.  However, the deadline may be extended due to the coronavirus situation.  We will keep you posted on this website.  Best wishes, Dana Bonham, Library Director
